Before getting to know Tommy Fleetwood’s wife, Clare, we hope you know just a couple of things about Tommy who was born on January 29, 1991, in Southport, Merseyside. He turned pro in 2010, that same year he was a runner-up in the English Challenge on Europe’s second-tier Challenge Tour.

Fleetwood had his first taste of triumph in the Challenge Tour win at the Kazakhstan Open in September 2012. He won again at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship in April 2017.

As noted Tommy Fleetwood is now married to the stunning Clare, mother of three children and his manager. Clare now goes by Clare Fleetwood.

There is much out there about her, unfortunately, the little we know is that Claire who according to the Sun is 23 years his senior (but you know age is just a number when true love in what really matters) she is from Manchester and if the proud momma of three gorgeous boys.

Clare was formerly known as Clare Ryan, probably because she was previously married to Andy Craig, father of her two older sons, Oscar and Mo.

Furthermore, Clare and Tommy tied the knot in December 2018 in the Bahamas. Their son Franklin was born in September 2017.

In addition to managing her hubby’s career, Clare works for the Hambric Sports Group and is a Trustee of the Richard Burns Foundation.

Tommy Fleetwood, born on January 19, 1991, in Southport, England, had an impressive amateur golf career. He won the 2009 Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship and the 2010 English Amateur, while also securing runner-up finishes in several prestigious tournaments. Fleetwood represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2009 Walker Cup and achieved high rankings in amateur golf, reaching number 3 in The R&A’s World Amateur Golf Ranking and number 1 on the Scratch Players World Amateur Rankings.

Fleetwood turned professional in 2010 after finishing as runner-up in the English Challenge and winning the English Amateur. His professional debut came at the 2010 Czech Open on the European Tour, where he tied for 67th place. In 2011, he won his first Challenge Tour event at the Kazakhstan Open, securing a spot on the European Tour for 2012.

His career has been marked by numerous achievements:

  • First European Tour win at the 2013 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles
  • Scored an albatross at the 2015 BMW PGA Championship
  • Won the 2017 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship
  • Finished runner-up in the 2017 WGC-Mexico Championship
  • Won the 2017 Open de France and the Race to Dubai
  • Tied the U.S. Open single-round scoring record with a 63 in 2018
  • Paired with Francesco Molinari to win all four of their matches in the 2018 Ryder Cup
  • Finished second in the 2019 Open Championship
  • Won the Nedbank Golf Challenge in 2019 and successfully defended the title in 2022

Recently, Fleetwood has continued his strong performances:

  • Tied for the lead at the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, losing in a playoff
  • Made history at the 2023 U.S. Open by becoming the first player to shoot multiple final-round 63s
  • Played a crucial role in Europe’s 2023 Ryder Cup victory
  • Won the Dubai Invitational in January 2024
  • Achieved his best Masters finish, tying for third in April 2024
  • Won a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics
